Walking in the Light: Our Daily Bread Devotional Blog Carnival

Is it important to apply the Word of God to everyday life?

Or did you forget the message delivered from the sermon during the church service this weekend?

A good tip in applying the Word of God to your life daily is to make the message from the pulpit your theme for the week and set your agenda around it. The pulpit was designed to “pull you from the pit,” out of your circumstance and set you back on track.

“He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” Psalm 40:2

The beauty in that is through your remembrance of the message learned each week and its application to your life, it will empower you to help others while helping yourself; “Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God,” - 2 Corinthians 1:4.

So what was your assignment from the pulpit this week?
